"Hoy no he quedado con nadie"

"I am not meeting anyone today" is the right answer. Why is it not "I haven't met anyone today" please?

Hola T,

We can take the meaning of this sentence "Hoy no he quedado con  nadie" in two different ways:

1. I am not meeting anyone today. Here we mean that I haven't arranged to meet with anyone today, therefore the result meaning is also "I am not meeting anyone today"

2. Your suggestion which is also correct: I haven't met anyone today, the same way we'd say "Hoy no he visto a nadie." ( I haven't seen anyone today [because I haven't arranged to meet anyone])

Gracias y un saludo

Inma

Thanks!

This makes sense, there are simply two options, and it depends on context. I didn't think of the first one, thanks.
